This one's for you.
And for me.
It’s for us.
Okay, I’m going to ask you the question I say I hate (but secretly love) when someone asks me: How are you, really? No, not the version you give when someone asks in passing. That one sounds like, “I’m fine.” Or, “I’m good, just busy!” Those are the answers we give people when we don’t expect the conversation to continue. Instead, I want you to answer the real question.
Maybe you're exhausted, running on empty, stretched across too many people and responsibilities, wondering when the pace somehow became the point. Or maybe you're not exhausted at all because life is full and genuinely good, but something quiet in you knows you've been skimming the surface of it. Present in body, somewhere else in soul.
Perhaps you're in the middle of a transition where something has shifted, a chapter has closed, and you're standing in the in-between trying to get your bearings. Or maybe it’s none of those exactly… maybe you just know you're overdue. Overdue for stillness. For depth. For a weekend where no one needs anything from you and you get to simply be.
I created INHABITATION for you.
Because I have been you.
This retreat is built around one conviction I keep coming back to, and that is that we were made to dwell, not just do. Over a weekend in the Tennessee mountains, with substantive teaching, real community, and actual room to breathe, we're going to dig into what it means to abide, to be present, to stop performing for God and start inhabiting life with Him. I would love for you to be there.
What To Expect
Worship & Teaching
I'll be teaching five sessions across the weekend and I’m bringing everything I've got. I’ve been loving the way God is bringing this Inhabitation content into focus. We'll also have worship woven throughout, because some things are better sung than said.
Community
We’ll have meals together, long conversations, late nights on the deck, fun, and I’d imagine a significant amount of regular laughter. This will be small enough that you won't be anonymous, and intentional enough that I hope you won't be a stranger to anyone in the room when it’s over. We need each other.
Rest & Beauty
Beyond the fun things to do together, you’ll have Saturday afternoon with nothing required of you… at a brand new luxury lodge in the Tennessee mountains with hot tubs, a movie theater, and beautiful mountain views. This margin is on purpose for a purpose.

**Saturday afternoon is yours. Rest, explore, enjoy the pool or hot tub, take in a movie, or venture out into Pigeon Forge. A charcuterie board will be at The Lodge for anyone staying in. And if you do want to venture out, Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas opens this very weekend! In terms of other recommendations, The Apple Barn & Cider Mill is a property with a delicious southern restaurant and great shopping. It’s one of my favorite spots in Pigeon Forge. Book Warehouse is also a mandatory hour-long stop for me. (Books for DAYS.) But there’s also tons of outlet shopping and all the Smoky Mountain Fun you can possibly stand.
In other words… you can’t be bored unless you just want to be. And sometimes, that’s EXACTLY what I want. :)
Weekend Schedule
Grand Forge Lodge
Grand Forge Lodge is a brand new 16-bedroom luxury cabin nestled in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
This pristine cabin has hot tubs, a private movie theater, an indoor pool, expansive decks, and enough space that you can find a quiet corner whenever you need one, or find your people gathered around the table whenever you don't. In this place, it is genuinely possible to rest. This is a retreat built around INHABITATION and the idea that where we are matters, that places form us, and that we were made by God to dwell somewhere specific and beautiful that He’s preparing for us. This lodge is a carefully chosen part of that. (After all, I live in a cabin in the mountains now, so I know just how replenishing this can be!)
In case you’ve already started doing the math, yes, this retreat will intentionally be for a smaller curated group of around 40-50 women, so space is limited. The size is by design because the goal is rest/connection/belonging, not stressful/anonymous/spectating. Check out the beautiful photos below. And pay special attention to the registration package info below, because we anticipate spots will go quickly and it’ll be important to:
1. Talk to your people.
2. Make your plans.
