HEY THERE… I’M

Besides all that official stuff, you should know that I am also obsessed with coffee (preferably topped with whipped cream), the Atlanta Braves, the Florida Gators, dogs, travel, and snow… the more the better! I have been married to Jeffrey for 26 years and we have three delightful children, Maggie (23), Jack (20), and Ali (18) as well as three pups, Nash, Loretta, and Maverick. If you spend much time with me, it won’t be long before you hear stories about and see pictures of all the kids and pups. Soon, Jeffrey and I will be empty nesters (what?!?) and we look forward to even more time spent leaning into the adventures God has in store.

I hope I get to meet you along the way!

Statement of Faith

I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day, providing the only way of salvation for all who believe in Him. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

I believe that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior, having forgiven my sins through His sacrificial death and resurrection, delivering me from eternal separation from God and bringing me into a restored relationship with Him. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).

I believe that all humanity has sinned and fallen short of God's glory, and that we are completely unable to save ourselves through good works, religious traditions, or moral efforts. Salvation comes only by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

I believe that the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God in its original manuscripts. Scripture is our ultimate authority for faith and practice, given to us by the Holy Spirit for our instruction and growth. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

I believe in the Trinity—that there is one true God who eternally exists in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and of the same divine essence, working in perfect unity. "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). "Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness'" (Genesis 1:26).

I believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, providing daily guidance, strength, and wisdom to live according to God's will and to grow in holiness and Christlike character. The Spirit teaches us, comforts us, and empowers us for Christian living and service. "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you" (John 14:26). "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8).

I believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to earth, when He will judge all humanity and establish His eternal kingdom. Believers will be received unto Him, and all creation will be made new. "This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11). "Then I saw 'a new heaven and a new earth,' for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away" (Revelation 21:1).
