ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I’m a Church girl. Always have been. Always will be.
I Grew Up in the Church (Quite Literally)
Both of my parents spent their lives in ministry, and my dad was a pastor and a gifted Bible teacher. Church wasn’t just something we attended; it was the rhythm of our lives. The doors were open, and we were there. And honestly? I loved it.
It never occurred to me to do anything else.
From a young age, I fell in love with the Church. Not as an institution, but as a living, breathing community of people trying to follow God faithfully together. I loved watching lives change. I loved seeing Scripture come alive. I loved the quiet, behind-the-scenes work of serving and building something bigger than myself.
So when I stepped into ministry at eighteen, it felt less like a career choice and more like a continuation of the story God had already been writing.
Over the last three decades, I’ve worked in a variety of leadership and ministry roles, shaping how I understand discipleship, leadership, and the responsibility of teaching God’s Word well.
I’ve served on staff in churches like North Point Community Church, Passion City Church, and Church of the City, each in different seasons and capacities, but always with the same heart for the local church and the people within it.
Along the way, I’ve also had the opportunity to write national children’s curriculum for Integrity and Lifeway Christian Resources, and I currently serve as Director of Content for QAVA, a Christian streaming platform that creates digital biblical resources to help people go deeper in their faith.
Where God Has Shaped Me
Why Teaching The Bible Still Matters to Me
After more than thirty years in ministry, my passion hasn’t faded. It’s deepened.
I believe the Bible holds truth that is both ancient and deeply relevant, and I care about helping people engage with it in ways that feel grounded, thoughtful, and connected to everyday life.
That conviction continues to shape the work I do today, whether serving alongside others in ministry, developing biblical content, or creating space for honest conversation and reflection through teaching and writing.
A Little More About Me
Outside of ministry, I’m happiest with a good cup of coffee (whipped cream preferred), cheering for the Braves, traveling whenever possible, and soaking up snowy weather wherever I can find it.
I’ve been married to Jeffrey for 26 years, and we have three incredible kids (Maggie, Jack, and Ali), plus three very loved dogs.
We’re in a new season of life now, learning what it looks like to trust God with what’s next and enjoy the space He’s given us.
I hope I get to meet you along the way!
